In accordance with Annex VII, section 7.12, column 2 of Regulation No. 1907/2006, a self-ignition temperature study does not need to be conducted for liquids non flammable in air, e.g. no flash point up to 200 °C. The substance contains approximately 95% water and therefore would not be considered flammable in air due to the high water content. The flash point of the substance would be above 200°C and therefore, a study to determine the self-ignition temperature is considered scientifically not necessary.
