This procedure is in accordance with EEC - Directive 92/69 EEC, Part A, A.6 Water solubility. According this guideline substances which are soluble in water at least at a concentration of 1 mg/l are to be tested in aqueous solution. The water solubility of the test item of Dusantox L is<1mg/l (see result of water solubility in 3.0.60). At test item concentration of below 1 mg/l no effect of surface activity can be expected. Therefore the determination of the surface tension of Dusantox L was not performed.
