First-aid measures

INHALATION:


Remove to fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.


SKIN CONTACT:


After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a physician.


EYE CONTACT:


In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Call a physician immediately.


INGESTION:


Call a physician immediately. Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.

Fire-fighting measures

Dry powder, Water spray, Foam


SPECIFIC HAZARDS DURING FIRE FIGHTING:


Heating or fire can release toxic gas.


SPECIAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT FOR FIRE FIGHTERS:


In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.

Use water spray to cool unopened containers.

Accidental release measures

GENERAL REMARK:


Substance is handled as intermediate in closed systems under strictly controlled conditions. Therefore, there will be neither exposure to workers or release to the environment. The substance is no longer present after processing. In the event of accident, in order to avoid contact with or release of the substance to the environment, personal and technical protective measures are mandatory.


PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS:


Use a respirator when performing operations involving potential accidental exposure to vapour.


ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS:


Prevent product from entering drains in case of spillage.


METHODS FOR CLEANING UP:


Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal and wear full protective clothing incl. goggles and gloves. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT


HYGIENE MEASURES:


Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product.


RESPIRATORY PROTECTION:


In the case of vapour formation use a respirator with an approved filter. Respirator with a vapour filter (EN 141).


HAND PROTECTION:


Suitable material: Nitrile rubber - Break through time : > 480 min


Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).


EYE PROTECTION:


Tightly fitting safety goggles


SKIN AND BODY PROTECTION:


Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the workplace. No special protective equipment required.


ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEASURES:


Use in tightly closed reaction vessel only. Waste or remainig substance has to be incinerated in an authorized incineration facility equipped with flue-gas scrubbing. Contaminated process waters have to be pre-treated in an industrial wastewater treatment plant before discharging.

Disposal considerations

WASTE FROM RESIDUES:

Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration.
