Description of key information

No effects in the range of the water solubility of the test substance (< 0.004 mg/L in aqua dest) were observed for Cyprinus carpio (OECD 203).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The acute toxicity of 2-hexyldecanoic acid[4-(6-tert-butyl-7-chloro-1H-pyrazolo[1,5-b][1,2,4]triazol-2-yl)phenylcarbamoyl]methylester (UM-235) to fish was investigated in a study by de Roode (2004). This test was carried out as static limit-test according to OECD guideline 203 under GLP conditions. Common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were exposed to a filtered test solution of nominal 100 mg/L. HPLC analysis of the test media showed the mean measured test concentration to be 0.052 mg/L. As no mortality or other adverse effects could be observed after 96 h of exposure, no effect concentration value could be calculated. Therefore, the LC50 (96 h) is considered to be > 0.052 mg/L.
