First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment. If irritation or discomfort occurs
seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse eyes thoroughly with clean water for at least ten
minutes. If irritation occurs seek medical assistance.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash skin thoroughly for at least ten minutes with clean
water. If irritation occurs seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Symptomatic treatment. Do not induce vomiting. If irritation
or discomfort occurs seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, dry foam or carbon dioxide.
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn if ignited,
evolving carbon oxides such as carbon monoxide.

Protective equipment: Fight the fire from a safe and protected location. Self-
contained breathing apparatus should be worn to prevent
exposure to fumes.

Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards. Sweep up
powder or absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable
inert material (eg. sand or soil). Carefully transfer the
spillage to waste containers, or use a sealed industrial
vacuum machine. Containers filled with waste material must
be labelled in the same way as the original substance
containers.
Clean the spillage area with water and detergent. Do not
allow washings to enter foul sewer.
Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance/preparation should be used and handled in
accordance with good industrial hygiene practice to avoid
exposure by skin and eye contact and ingestion.
The use of appropriate PPE and RPE should be employed to
minimise exposure during handling.
Engineering controls such as local exhaust ventilation
should also be used.
Storage: The substance and preparations containing the substance
should be stored in a cool, dry area away from sources of
ignition. They should be stored in sealed containers
labelled according to the originl container. Extreme
temperatures should be avoided.

Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Discharge to the environment will be minimal. In principle,
it may be possible to recover larger spillages of
uncontaminated material for subsequent use.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
inert material (eg. sand or soil) may be disposed of by
landfill at an authorised tip in accordance with local
regulations.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed, because noxious fumes (eg. carbon
oxides) could be formed.

the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,
adverse effects on sewage treatment systems would be
