Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Suitable extinguishing media are foam, carbon dioxide, dry
agent and water.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Film: No special precautions.

Substance: Wear suitable protective clothing. see 2.3.1.

Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity. Avoid dust
formation by damping down with water. Absorb spillages of
solutions with a suitable inert material. Carefully transfer
the spillage to waste containers, or use a sealed industrial
vacuum machine. Clean the spillage area with detergent and
water. Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by landfill or incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: Film: No special precautions.

Substance: Observe the usual precautions when handling
organic chemicals. If necessary, wear personal protective
equipment (eye protection (eg goggles), chemical resistant
gloves, protective clothing (eg impervious apron). A dust
mask conforming to EN149 with FFP1 should be used if dust
levels cannot be controlled.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a dark place at room

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for reuse is not economically or technically
feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance may be disposed of by landfill at an
authorised tip in accordance with local regulations. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning
under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment
processor in accordance with local regulations. Stack gases
should be scrubbed, to remove oxides of nitrogen. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from paper coated with the substance is not
possible.

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Paper and waste film coated with the substance may be
disposed of as for domestic waste.
