First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.

Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse continuously with water for at least 15 minutes.

Emergency measure - Skin: Wash thoroughly with soap and water. Launder clothing before

re-use.

Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention. Do not induce vomiting.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, foam and water fog may be

used. Water-jet should not be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and a self-contained breathing

apparatus must be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing (cf 2.3.1). Absorb

spillages with a suitable inert material. Carefully transfer

the spillage to labelled containers, or use a sealed

industrial vacuum machine. Dispose of waste material in

accordance with local regulations by incineration or

landfill. Clean the spillage area with water and detergent,

do not discharge to water courses.

Handling and storage

Handling: The substance should be handled under conditions of good

industrial hygiene. Ensure adequate ventilation, wear

appropriate personal protective equipment (chemical

protective gloves to a minimum standard of prEN374, goggles

capable of giving protection as classified in prEN166, and

skin protection, eg. impervious apron to a minimum standard

of EN368). A suitable respirator may be required.

Storage: Store in sealed containers at ambient temperature away from

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Reccovery for recycling is not feasible. However, used oil

should be sent to collection centres for reuse.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Spillages of solutions mixed with inert material (eg. sand

or soil) may be disposed of by landfill at an authorised tip

in accordance with local regulations. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: The substance can be disposed of by incineration by burning

under controlled conditions at a licensed waste treatment

processor in accordance with local regulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. The substance should not normally be

discharged directly to the sewage system or the aqueous

environment.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recycling of the blended substance may be possible.

Otherwise, used oil should be disposed of according to local

conditions. (B612)

Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Small quantities may be mixed with domestic waste for

disposal by incineration.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Used oil should be disposed of according to local

Regulations for recycling.
