Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient to fresh air. Symptomatic treatment.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before re-use.

Wash with water. If irritation develops seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be used.

Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon,
nitrogen and sulfur together with some soot.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: A self-contained breathing apparatus should be worn.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear suitable protective clothing, see 2.3.1. Extinguish all
sources of ignition. Avoid dust formation by damping down
with water. Absorb spillages of solutions with a suitable
inert material. Transfer to waste containers, or use a
sealed industrial vacuum machine fitted with an appropriate
filtration system. Dispose of in accordance with local
regulations by incineration. Clean spillage area with water
and direct the washings to an on-site waste water treatment
system.

Handling and storage

Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Protective clothing, chemical resistant gloves,
eye protection (e.g. a face shield) and a suitable
respirator should be worn when exposure cannot be prevented
using engineering controls.

Storage: Store in sealed containers in a cool, dark place.

Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 90, 120 or 200 litre fibre drums with an inner polyethylene
liner.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not economically feasible.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Nne known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Disposal at a controlled landfill site is possible. (A650)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration at an approved facility equipped with waste gas
treatment to remove oxides of nitrogen and sulfur is
recommended. (A661)

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance will not enter the public domain.
