Administrative data
First-aid measures
artificial respiration and seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with water for at least 15 minutes, including under
eyelids.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with soap and water.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Give large quantities of water, if conscious.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon and nitrogen. Hydrogen bromide and
bromine, and irritant sulphur oxides, may also be released.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear usual firefighting equipment e.g. self-contained
breathing apparatus and protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
protection, collect spilled material in a dry state, with a
vacuum cleaner, and place in containers for disposal by
incineration. Avoid waste discharge to drains/surface
water.
Handling and storage
exhaust ventilation. Impermeable gloves (e.g. EN 386/374-
2/374-3) and protective clothing (e.g. coverall suit to
CE-standard) should be worn to avoid accidental colouring of
skin or clothes. Where generation of a local dust
atmosphere may occur, use of suitable respiratory
protection (e.g. EN 140, EN 141, with dust cartridge) plus
eye and/or face protection(e.g. goggles to EN 166) is
recommended.
Storage: Store at room temperature in sealed containers.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 2 kg lots of the material are placed into 5 litre brown,
plastic bottles: 6 bottles are packed in each 50 litre
cardboard box. The boxes are labelled on the outside.

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: None known.
Dust explosion: as the substance is a fine powder, a dust explosion hazard
may exist. However, the absence of observed ignition in
the A10 test and the minimisation of dusting due to use in
solvent solution together suggest little explosion risk
during use.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
re-use.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Preferred method.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable: no sale to the public is planned.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable.
