Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, water foam or water fog. The
material is not reactive with water, but as with other water
insoluble liquids, water is not recommended.

Product arising from burning: Complete combustion will form carbon dioxide, water and
bromine. Incomplete combustion in confined or oxygen
depleted conditions will form complex hydrocarbons and
organo-bromine derivatives.

In the presence of water, bromic acid may form.

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Respiratory equipment and skin/eye protection should be
used, suitable for halogens and acrylic acid.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Clean small spills by absorbing onto sand, sawdust or other
suitable material before disposal as hazardous waste in
suitable labelled containers.

Refer to safety data sheet.
