Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Carbon dioxide, dry chemical, alcohol and universal foam, and
water spray.

Product arising from burning: May generate oxides of nitrogen and sulphur, and
carbondioxide,

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire fighters should wear air supplied respirators.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Eliminate all ignition sources. Sweep up into containers and
seal. Dispose of material in accordance with
governmentrequirements and ensure conformity to local
disposalregulations. Do not wash into sewer or
waterways.

Handling and storage

Handling: The preparation containing the substance will only be usedin
the IC industry by trained personnel. Exposure isminimal.
Inhalation and skin contact are avoided by the useof
impermable protective gloves and dust masks. Dust
prooffilling apparatus and appropriate ventilation are also
used.

Storage: The preparation containing the substance should be kept
insecurely closed unbreakable containers. Keep away
fromfoodstuffs and sources of ignition. Store in a cool and
darkplace away from humidity.

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The preparation is not recovered or recycled during
normaluse. Any spilled material is not recovered
but is disposed of byincineration or disposal to landfill in
accordance withlocal regulations.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages or the preparationmixed
with inert material (e.g. sand or soil) may bedisposed of
at an authorised tip in accordance with localregulations.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the preferred method of disposal.
Thepreparation may be disposed of by burning under controlle
dconditions at a licensed waste treatment processor
inaccordance with local regulations. Stack gases should
bescrubbed as noxious fumes (e.g. carbon dioxide) could
beformed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In the unlikely event that the preparation should enter
thewater treatment systems, contaminated waste water should
betreated by means of flocculation precipitation.
Theprecipitated material should then be incinerated.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the test substance will not enter
thepublic domain.
