Registration Dossier

Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove the affected person to fresh air. If breathing is
difficult, give oxygen. If breathing ceases give artificial
respiration. If signs of toxicity occur seek medical advice
immediately.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash affected area with
plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If signs of
irritation persist seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of liquids. Seek immediately medical advice or
a poisoning-information-center.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water

Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide

Carbon dioxide

Oxides of nitrogen

Oxides of sulphur

Product determined by test: N

Protective equipment: Fire-fighters should wear full protective clothing and
self-contained breathing apparatus. Fire exposed containers
should be cooled with a water spray.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Moister spill or cover it with a wet inert material.

If cleaning a spill wear a dust/mist respirator, chemical
safety goggles and gloves.
If cleaning large spills a disposable suit and self-
contained breathing apparatus should be worn. Use an
approved industrial vacuum cleaner. The affected area
should be ventilated and decontaminated after the material
has been cleared. The material should be disposed of in
accordance with national regulations.

The containers filled with the collected waste should be
labelled sufficiently.

Handling and storage

Handling: Use in areas with sufficient ventilation. Local exhaust
ventilation should be used in areas where the substance is
handled to minimise dust production.

Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear gloves and safety goggles.
Avoid inhalation of dust. Wear a NIOSH approved and properly
fitted dust/mist respirator.

Hands and face should be thoroughly washed after handling
the substance.

Storage: Store in sealed, unbreakable containers in a cool and dry
place. Protect the substance against heat, moisture and air.

Avoid substance residues on the containers.

Stability and reactivity

Danger other than fire: Fine dust particles suspended in air in sufficient
concentration and in the presence of an ignition source mean
a potential explosion hazard.

Chemical reaction with water: None known

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: No practical method of recovery or recycling is known.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: no chemical neutralisation method is known.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: not recommended

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: (661) Incinerator with flue gas scrubbing

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: nor recommended
