PBT assessment

Currently viewing:

Administrative data

PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB

Persistence Assessment

Substance does not meet screening criteria. All of the components of this substance are readily biodegradable and it is therefore neither P nor vP.

Bioaccumulation Assessment

Substance does not meet screening criteria. All of the organic components of this substance have a logKow=<4.5 and is therefore it is neither B nor vB. The bioaccumulation criteria are not applicable for the inorganic component.

Toxicity Assessment

Substance does meet the screening criteria. The acute aquatic toxicity (LC50 and EC50) of all components is >0.1mg/l. Substance is neither carcinogenic, mutagenic nor toxic to reproduction. However, two of the components are classified for chronic effects following repeated exposure (STOR RE category 2), a classification that carries over to the substance as a whole, therefore the T critieria is met.

PBT/vPvB criteria and justification

Substance does not meet the screening criteria for persistency or bioaccumulation so is neither PBT nor vPvB.

Likely routes of exposure:

Not required as substance is neither PBT nor vPvB.
