Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Subcutaneous injection of a 10% solution of 3-methoxybutyl acetate in oil did not cause any adverse effects to guinea pigs at a dose of 100 mg/kg/day for up to 6 days.
- Executive summary:
A 10% solution of 3 -methoxybutyl acetate in oil was injected subcutaneously to a guinea pig at a dose of 100 mg/kg for 6 consecutive days. There were no adverse clinical signs and no abnormal findings in the urine. 3 -Methoxybutyl acetate, as a 10% solution in oil, was of low toxicity to guinea pigs by the subcutaneous route at a dose level of 100 mg/kg/day.
