- Justification:
Further testing has been proposed in order to carry out the PBT assessment: biodegradation in sediment (OECD 308), and, in a second phase, an OECD 305 (fish bioconcentration, dietary exposure route), and, further to a CCH, aquatic chronic toxicity tests on fish according to OECD 210 and on daphnia according to OECD 211.
The OECD 308 study results shows that Polysulfide, di-tert-dodecyl is "P" but not "vP" having a half-life in sediment of 169 days.
The OECD 210 and 211 have been carried out. No significant effects have been observed at saturation concentration of substance in water.
The OECD 305 study has been carried out. It has been observed that, further to a daily feeding of fish with treated food for 14 days, no absorption, so no accumulation takes place. The substance is neither B nor vB.
- Likely routes of exposure:
Exposure can happen to sediment further to water emission. Soil exposure is unlikely according to pattern of uses. Exposure through food has shown no absorption in animal.
