Description of key information

In a weight of evidence approach the density of the compound can be described as follows:
CRC (2008): 3.0 g/cm3 at room temperature
Merck (2006): relative density = 3.004 at 15 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

According to handbook data (Merck index and CRC handbook) selenous acid has a density of ca. 3.0 g/cm3 at 15 °C / room temperature. Handbook data considered to be from a trusted source acc. to "ECHA, Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment – Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance", and therefore, the value could be regarded as valid.
