Additional information

Trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) is a dense and fluid liquid, considered as a Volatile Organic Compound, but also fully miscible in water, where it will exist under its ionised form. The substance has low potential for bioaccumulation, and exhibits no surface-active properties. No physical hazards are anticipated, except the peculiarity of a very acidic pH, that may lead to corrosive effects, including upon metals.
