Description of key information

In all studies on human volunteers, there were no signs of irritation or sensitisation effects of the test substances.

Additional information

Two studies on human sensitisation are available both on C5 -C20, n-paraffins.

C5-C20 paraffin, showed a cumulative irritation effect at 75%. However, this substance was tested under occlusive patch, a condition which exacerbates the irritancy of hydrocarbon solvents. However, C5 -C20 did not induce allergic contact dermatitis.
