Type of method:
closed cup

With both tests it was visually observed that the test substance has a boiling temperature of approximately 103°C. No flammable vapour/air mixture was produced at temperatures below the boiling temperature of the test substance. From this, it was concluded that the test substance has no flash point.

Endpoint:
flash point of flammable liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
other:

Description of key information

No flash point

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

No flammable vapour/air mixture was produced at temperatures below the boiling temperature of Vinasses composed of approximately 65% dry matter. Since Vinasses of various subgroups are very similar in composition, it was concluded that Vinasses in form of suspension/aqueous solution and paste have no flash point.

Flash point is not a relevant property for Vinasses in solid form.
