Additional information

The boiling point range of petrolatum is 300°C. A boiling point range of 360°C to 732°C was reported by CONCAWE (2010a). The boiling point was determined using the ASTM D 1160 test method.

The European Wax Federation (EWF, 1990) reported the boiling point range for petrolatum to be 320 to 700°C. A boiling point of 302°C has also been reported for white petrolatum (IPCS, 2002).
