Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Aquatic PNECs

Data has been obtained from studies conducted with Propoxylated neopentyl glycol

The following PNECs were calculated:

PNEC Aqua (freshwater) - Based on an assessment factor of 1000, the PNEC is 1 mg/L.

PNEC Aqua (marine water) - Based on an assessment factor of 10000 the PNEC is 0.1 mg/L

.

PNEC Aqua (intermittent releases) - Based on an assessment factor of 100 the PNEC is 10 mg/L.

No PNECs for other compartments (soil, STP, air, sediment) are considered necessary.

Conclusion on classification

The test substance demonstrates no toxicity to aquatic organisms at exposure levels of 1000 mg/L. As such no hazards are indentified for the environment and the substance should not be considered harmful to aquatic organisms.

No classification is triggered based on available data, according to EEC Council Directive 79/831/EEC Annex VI, Part II (D) as described in Commission Directive 93/21/EEC or Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008,
