Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The test item is not readily biodegradable (according to OECD criteria).

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

For the test item itself (salt) no data on biodegradation are available. However, for the uvcb amine component experimental data on the biodegradation are available (OECD 301 F: BASF 2011, 1986). According to the O2 -consumption, neither of the tests revealed any potential to significantly biodegrade.

Furthermore, two QSAR calculations of the representative molecule of the main fraction (C26H55N1) of the mixture di-tridecylamine have been performed. According to the results from these calculations, the uvcb amine part cannot be considered as readily biodegradable.

As a worst case scenarion, following the results from the uvcb amine part, the salt itself is considered as not readily biodegradable.
