Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Fresh air. Rinse nose, mouth and throat with water. Seek medical advice if troubles remain.
Skin contact: Wash with soap and water. Seek medical advice if troubles remain.
Eye contact: Rinse carefully with water. Seek medical advice if troubles remain.
Ingestion: Rinse the mouth with water. Give a few glasses of milk or water if the person is fully conscious and try to cause vomiting. Seek
medical advice if troubles remain.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Installed water sprinkler.
Extinguishing media not to be used: Powdered extinguishing medium.
Fire and Explosion Hazards: The substance reacts explosively with strong oxidizing agents and heat.
Others: In case of fire, evacuate area. Fire can be transformed to detonation. Do not attempt to extinguish.
Accidental release measures
Ordinary measure: Sweep up and put into marked container.
Protective equipment for clearance personnel: In case of direct contact, use protective equipment, such as protective gloves and clothes.
Environmental precautions: Prevent the product from reaching the sewage system.
Collection and clearance method: Avoid dust formation by moistening the product, and sweep up and put into a marked container.
Method for taking care of waste: Should be burned at an approved place for taking care of explosives. Note! Explosive can detonate.
Handling and storage
Ventilation during handling: Well ventilated area.
Equipment for handling: Equipment should be adapted to work with explosives
Recommended temperature during handling: Normal room temperature.
Equipment which should not be used during handling: Equipment which causes static electricity.
Requirement for storage and packing: Handling and storage only according to national legislation. Should be stored in tight closed containers and
only in places approved for explosives.
