PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB

Based on the available GLP study conducted according to OECD Guideline 310, dimethyl(propyl)amine (CAS 926 -63 -6) is assessed to be readily biodegradable (see IUCLID Ch. 5.2.1). Therefore, the substance does not fullfil the P/vP criteria. The substance is not B/vB based on a measured log Kow of 1.32 at 23 °C, pH 11 (BASF SE, 2013; report no 11L00479). In addition, the calculated BCF value of 2.7 L/kg, considering mitigations factors (see IUCLID Ch. 5.3.1) indicate no significant potential for bioaccumulation. The substance is not T since the lowest available chronic value is >> 0.01 mg/L (Algae: 72 ErC10: 2.89 mg/L, measured, OECD 211, report no. 60E0302/10X309, BASF SE, 2013) and the substance holds no relevant classification.

In conclusion, the substance is not to be considered as a PBT/vPvB substance.
