Additional information

According to CLP regulation, Annex I, Part 2, section 2.1.4.3.a), explosive properties relevant for classification may be excluded due to structural considerations.

Justification for classification or non-classification

Explosiveness

According to CLP Regulation, Annex 1, Part 2, section 2.1.4.3.a), a substance shall not be classified as explosive if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule, with examples given in Table A6.1 in Appendix 6 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria. This holds true for the submission substance.

Self reactive substances:

According to CLP Regulation, Annex 1, Part 2, section 2.8.4.2.a), the classification procedures for self-reactive substances and mixtures need not be applied if there are no chemical groups present in the molecule associated with explosive or self reactive properties, with examples given in Tables A6.1 and A6.2 in Appendix 6 of the UN Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods, Manual of Tests and Criteria. This holds true for the submission substance.
