Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Reference
Endpoint:
water solubility
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2012
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
other: ISO 9001, non GLP
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
OECD Guideline 105 (Water Solubility)
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
flask method
Key result
Water solubility:
ca. 54.2 g/L
Temp.:
20 °C
pH:
ca. 11.9
Details on results:
Flask1: 15.36 g test material in 209.02g demineralized water
pH value 11.9 at 20°C
Result of iodometric assay (Eq. 2):
1. 2.66 % w/w
2. 2.65 % w/w

Flask 2: 15.30 g test material in 200.41 g demineralized water
pH value 11.93 at 20°C
Result of iodometric assay (Eq. 2):
1. 2.67 % w/w
2. 2.67 % w/w

Flask 3: 15.18 g test material in 206.18 demineralized water
pH value 11.95 at 20°C
Result of iodometric assay (Eq. 2 and 3):
1. 2.61 % w/w
2. 2.61 % w/w

Density of saturated solution was determined to 1.0306 g/cm³ at 20°C (293.15 K)
Conclusions:
Interpretation of results (migrated information): very soluble (> 10000 mg/L)
Independent from stirring conditions the measured concentration in all observed flasks differed less than 1% relatively, which is lower than the limit if 15% described in the operation procedures. Due to the high reproducibility of measurements the deviation from the strict procedures of the guidelines is justified.
Executive summary:

The determination of water solubility was carried out by using the procedure flask method regarding method 105 OECD guidelines for testing of chemicals as of 27.07.1995, method A6 of Commission Directive 440/2008 as of 31.05.2008 Annex A. The water solubility was determined to be 5.26 +/- 0.07 % w/w (appr. 52.6 g/kg; rel density 1.0306) corresponding to

54.2 +/- 0.7 g/L at 20°C (293.15 K).
