Results and discussion

Flammable solids
Test procedure:
burning rate test: preliminary screening test
Remarks on result:
other: See under Remarks:
Remarks:
Two preliminary tests were performed and the same sample behavior was observed. The test item, a white powder, did not ignite, but the solid sample melted when the Bunsen burner flame came close. Since test item did not propagate combustion, no further testing was required.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
not classified based on GHS criteria
Conclusions:
From the experimental data obtained according to the guideline A.10 in Official Journal L383 Part A, it can be concluded that the BIBR 1048 Ester sample is a not highly flammable substance.
