In an acute toxicity screening test rainbow trouts ( E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, 2002, equivalent to OECD 203, no data about GLP) were exposed to SIM-Ester in concentrations of 1,10,100 and 1000 mg/L (10 fish per concentration) for 96 hours. Under the test conditions of the present study the LC50 was assessed to be > 1000 mg/L.
