Description of key information

The fish 96h-LC50 was 0.65 mg/L based on nominal concentrations (95% confidence interval between 0.48 and 0.99 mg/L). When expressed in terms of calculated average exposure concentrations the 96h-LC50 was 0.40 mg/L (95% confidence interval between 0.27 and 0.58 mg/L). The LC50 values were reached after 24 hours of exposure.

An acute toxicity study with Daphnia magna was performed according to OECD and EC methods. The EC50(48h) = 0.65 mg/L.

In the acute toxicity test with Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, the EC50 for growth rate inhibition (72h-ERC50) was 3.7 mg/l with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 3.5 to 3.9 mg/l based on a TWA concentrations. The 72h-NOEC for both growth rate and yield inhibition could not be determined. The EC10 for growth rate inhibition (72h-ERC10) was 1.4 mg/l with a 95% confidence interval between 1.2 and 1.6 mg/l.

An acute respiration inhibition study with microorganisms of activated sludge was performed according to OECD and EC methods. The IC50 (3h) = 197 mg/L.
