Reference
Endpoint:
relative self-ignition temperature (solids)
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Reliability:
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
test procedure in accordance with national standard methods
Remarks:
According to Directive VDI 2263, part I
Reason / purpose for cross-reference:
reference to same study
Qualifier:
according to guideline
Guideline:
other: Directive VDI 2263, part I
Key result
Relative self-ignition temperature:
>= 310 °C
Remarks on result:
other: pure test substance and 1:1 Kieselguhr mixture

In the screening test according to Grewer with the pure test substance an exothermal effect starting at 310°C was observed, which led to a maximum product temperature of 350°C.

In the screening test with the kieselgur mixture (1:1) an exothermal effect starting at 310°C was observed. Self-heating led to a temperature of 750 °C.

Conclusions:
The test item has not to be classified as self-heating substance according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008, Annex I, 2.11.4
