Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
Fish
PY120 (Nanoform)
In this study the test item did not cause any effects to zebrafish after 96 h when testing a saturated solution with a nominal concentration level of 1.00 mg/L of the test item. The LC0 (0 – 96 h) was 1.00 mg/L. The very poor solubility of the test item precluded the analytical determination of the test item in the saturated solution (below limit of quantification).
PO36 (Bulk)
In this study the test item did not cause any effects to Zebrafish after 96 h when tested as a saturated solution with a nominal loading level of 1.00 mg/L. The LC0 (0 – 96 h) was 1.00 mg/L
Daphnia
PY 175
In the acute immobilization test on Daphnia magna with the submission substance neither in the treatment nor in the control groups any immobilized daphnids could be observed:
EC0 (24 and 48 h) = 100 mg/L
EC50 (24 and 48 h) > 100 mg/L
PY180
At the limit concentration of 100 mg/L of the submission substance no effects on mobility to Daphnia magna were observed. Neither in the control nor in the treatment replicates were any daphnids immobilized.
EC0 (24 and 48 h) = 100 mg/L nominal concentration
EC50 (24 and 48 h) > 100 mg/L nominal concentration
PY154
At the limit concentration of 100 mg/L of the submission substance no effects on mobility to Daphnia magna were observed. Neither in the control nor in the treatment replicates were any daphnids immobilized.
EC0 (24 and 48 h) = 100 mg/L nominal concentration
EC50 (24 and 48 h) > 100 mg/L nominal concentration
Algae
In this study (PY120) no inhibition on growth of the freshwater green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus was found after 72 hours exposure to the test item. The NOEC for inhibition of specific growth rate and yield after 72 hours was 1.00 mg/L. All effect levels are given based on the nominal concentration of the test item, which has been analytically verified by HPLC-DAD.
In this study (PY154) no inhibition on growth of the freshwater green alga Desmodesmus subspicatus was found after 72 hours exposure to the test item. The NOEC for inhibition of specific growth rate and yield after 72 hours was 1.00 mg/L. All effect levels are given based on the nominal concentration of the test item.
Toxicity to bacteria
In a respiration inhibition test (PY154) with activated municipal sludge (OECD 209) the following effect concentration was determined for the submission substance:
EC50 (3h) > 1000 mg/L (nominal concentration)
The NOEC of the test item (PY120) is>1000 mg/L. The test item caused no inhibiting effects on activated sludge of a municipal sewage treatment plant at the limit concentration of 1000 mg/L.
Long Term Toxicity Daphnia
At the saturated test item solution (P036) with 1.00 mg test item/L no biologically or statistically significant effects were determined. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) and the Lowest Observed Effect Concentration (LOEC) were as follows:
NOEC : 1.00 mg/L
LOEC : > 1.00 mg/L
At the saturated test item solution (PY154) with 1.00 mg test item/L no biologically or statistically significant effects were determined. The No Observed Effect Concentration (NOEC) and the Lowest Observed Effect Concentration (LOEC) were as follows:
NOEC : 1.00 mg/L
LOEC : > 1.00 mg/L
Due to the very poor solubility of the test item, quantitative analytical determination was precluded (below LOQ)
