Additional information

A 96 -hour acute toxicity test was conducted with rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) exposed to diisobutyl carbinol (DIBC). The study followed GLP along with standard US EPA guidelines and was rated a Klimisch score of 2. The 24 -hour LC50 value for DIBC was 31.2 mg/L, with a 95% confidence interval of 27.8 mg/L to 35.0 mg/L. The 48 -hour LC50 value was 29.4 mg/L, with a 95% confidence interval of 26.8 mg/L to 32.3 mg/L. The 72 and 96 -hour LC50 value was 28.6 mg/L with a 95% confidence interval of 25.6 to 31.9 mg/L. Based on biological interpretation of the data and the highest exposure level exhibiting no mortality and/or sublethal effects, the 96 -hour NOEC ws 3.44 mg/L.
