Description of key information

A 96-hour growth inhibition study was conducted with Selenastrum capricornutum (now known as Psuedokirchneriella subcapitata) exposed to
Diisobutyl Carbinol (DIBC). The 72 hour ErC50 value was 19.62 mg/L.

A 96 hour growth inhibition test with the freshwater green alga, Selenastrum capricornutum, to evaluate the effects of diisobutyl carbinol (DIBC). The study followed GLP, along with OECD and USEPA standard guidelines and was rated a Klimsch score of 2. The 0 to 72 and 0 to 96 -hour EC50s for growth rate were determined to be 19.62 and 29.95 mg/L.
