Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Standard OECD guideline in vitro genotoxicity assays are available for the three endpoints; bacterial mutagenicity, mammalian mutagenicity and clastogenicity. In all three assays DIBC was negative for genotoxicity and clastogenicity in the presence and absence of metabolic activation. This substance is therefore not genotoxic.

Short description of key information:
reliability 1 bacterial mutagenicity, chromosome aberration and mammalian mutagenicity assays

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

All assays were negative, therefore no classification for mutagenicity is required.
