Partition coefficient of Zinc methacrylate has a log Pow  = 0.85 (arithmetical mean value of 4 results on zinc methacrylate)

It is thus concluded that the test item has a log POW of < 0.3 at neutral conditions ( at pH=6) and a log POW of 0.786 at acidic conditions (at pH=2.4).

This study was reliable with restrictions because the partition coefficient of neutral form of the test item could not be determined.

Experimental study and three QSARS estimated values for the partition coefficient of zinc methacrylate (neutral form) were reported and can be considered as consistent :

-The log Pow of zinc methacrylate was stated as <0.3 according to the OECD 117 and EU Method A.8 using a HPLC method with a C18 column under GLP

- The log Pow of zinc methacrylate was calculated to be 0.53 using Kowwin QSAR; 1.33 using Vcclab QSAR and 1.23 using Vega logP.

A mean value can be calculated to give an approximate representative partition coefficient of the zinc methacrylate.The arithmetical mean value of these 4 results, log Pow = 0.85, will be retained as Key value for chemical assessment .
