Additional information

According to column 2 of Annex IX 9.2.1.2/9.2.1.4 of REACH Regulation 1907/2006, simulation studies on the biodegradation in water and sediment do not need to be conducted if the substance is readily biodegradable. Since fatty acids, C16 -18 (even numbered), aluminum salts, were proven to be readily biodegradable, no further biodegradation testing was performed.
