Description of key information

1.) Flammability - burning rate (solids):
The flammability of a substance is determined following the method N.1 (UN-manual of testing). However, during the preliminary screening test a melting of the substance was observed. For this reason the substance is a not flammable solid.
2.) Flammability - contact with water:
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, the study on flammability in contact with water does not need to be conducted as the structural formulas of the compounds of the mixture contain none of the functional groups quoted in Manual of Tests and Criteria, appendix 6, article 5.3.
3.) Flammability – pyrophoric properties:
In accordance with section 1 of REACH Annex XI, a study does not need to be conducted as it is scientifically unjustified. Based on experience during handling and use, no pyrophoric properties were observed.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
non flammable

Additional information

Justification for classification or non-classification

The substance is a not readily combustible solid, no pyrophoric property, and no flammability in contact with water; and hence no classification according to both Directive 67/548/EEC and GHS (Regulation EC 1272/2008) is required.
