Description of key information

The fastest burning test mixture of MBB burned slower (1.24 mm/sec) than the fastest reference material/cellulose mixture (1.6 mm/sec). MBB was considered as non-oxidizing.

The oxidizing property of 2-Methoxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine (MBB) was determined following EU Method A.17 (Oxidizing Properties (Solids)).

The fastest burning test mixture of MBB burned slower (1.24 mm/sec) than the fastest reference material/cellulose mixture (1.6 mm/sec). 2-Methoxymethyl-p-phenylenediamine (MBB) was classified as non-oxidizing.
