Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., triesters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 68002-78-8) is readily biodegradable according to a guideline study conducted in compliance with OECD 301 B (CO2 evolution test). The substance was degraded by 86.6% after 28 days (based on ThCO2). The study results indicate that the substance will be rapidly degraded in aquatic and terrestrial environments. Thus, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, column 2, 9.2.1.2. - 9.2.1.4., further simulation tests for water and sediment or soil biodegradation are not necessary.
