Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study on the short-term toxicity of Fatty acids, C16-18 and C18-unsatd., triesters with trimethylolpropane (CAS 68002-78-8) to aquatic algae is available (Bouillon, 2012). The study was conducted in compliance with OECD guideline 201. Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata were used as test organisms. The test solutions were prepared by using the water accommodated fraction (WAF) of the test substance. The algae were exposed to the test substance for 72 hours. Based on the growth rate of algae an EL50 > 110 mg/L (nominal) was determined.. Therefore acute toxic effects on aquatic algae are not expected within the range of the water solubility of the substance (<0.05 mg/L; Frischmann, 2012).
