Executive summary:

Tests with Ethanol, 2,2'-oxybis-, reaction products with 3-(triethoxysilyl)-1-propanamine in water with the intent to determine effective concentrations or no effect concentrations can not be performed due to technical reasons based on the chemical properties of the monomers of the UVCB. Stability tests in water with the test item has shown that it immediately polymerises to amorphous silicic acid, while releasing ethanol ("silica gel"; cf. Report 11-18360/1-14 ; 12-00834/1-14 ; 13-04771). Therefore, toxicity testing with the the test item is not feasible. The decomposition products silicic acid, ethanol, and 2,2'-dioxiethanol are not classified as dangerous to the environment.
