Description of key information

Based on the inorganic nature of slags and their insolubility in water (see testing results of water solubility in IUCLID endpoint 4.8) and organic solvents it can be inferred that slags, tin-smelting would exhibit a low log Kow value. Therefore, adsorption/desorption of slags on/from organic tissues can be excluded and consequently performing of test in order to assess adsorption/desorption behaviour does not need to be conducted under Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
