In accordance with column 2 of REACH Annex VII, explosive properties determination is not required as there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties in the structure of ethyl methyl carbonate.

Based on the structure of ethyl methyl carbonate, it is not considered to be explosive. It is not classified for explosivity according to the criteria of:

- Directive 67/548/EEC

- Regulation 1272/2008 (EU CLP GHS)

No classification for explosivity is applied to ethyl methyl carbonate in Annex VI of the CLP Regulation No. 1272/2008.
