Additional information

Acute toxicity of Propane-1,2,3-triyl 2-ethylhexanoate (CAS No. 7360-38-5) to aquatic organisms was assessed for two trophic levels (algae and fish). In addition, chronic toxicity data are available for all three trophic levels (freshwater fish, aquatic invertebrates, algae) for this substance.

In all available short-term toxicity tests (fish and algae), no adverse effects of Propane-1,2,3-triyl 2-ethylhexanoate (CAS No. 7360-38-5) occurred in the range of the water solubility (< 0.05 mg/L measured in aqua dest).

The results from the long-term fish test (OECD 210) with Pimephales promelas show effects for post-hatch survival resulting in a NOEC of 0.21 mg/L (geom. mean).

No chronic effects were determined for Daphnia magna and algae up to the limit of water solubility either.
