Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

There is no data available on the bioaccumulation potential of Amides, C16 and C18-C20 (even numbered, unsaturated), N,Nā€™-ethylenebis. In order to fulfil the standard information requirements set out in Annex IX, 9.3.2, in accordance with Annex XI, 1.5, of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006, read-across from a structurally related substance is conducted.

A detailed justification for the grouping of chemicals and read-across is provided in the technical dossier (see IUCLID Sections 5 and 13). Estimated BCF values for the main compounds of the UVCB substance Amides, C16 and C18-C20 (even numbered, unsaturated), N,Nā€™-ethylenebis demonstrate that the substance has no bioaccumulation potential (BCF: 0.893 - 0.907). This finding is supported using a read across approach from the structural analogue Amides, C16-C18 (even), N,N'-ethylenebis; the BCF experimental values available do not indicate a bioaccumulation potential of this substance (<0.7 and <6.2 at concentrations of 0.830 mg/L and 0.083 mg/L, respectively).
