Description of key information

Hydrolysis as a function of pH was assessed according to OECD 111 at 50 ºC, 27 ºC and 40 ºC. At 27 ºC, the half life times are around 55-65 hours. The decay rates are not strongly dependent on pH value and are approximately increased by 70% by the temperature increase from 27 ºC to 40 ºC.  The substance is not expected to persist in the environment.

Hydrolysis as a function of pH was assessed according to OECD 111 (EC C.7) and in compliance with GLP (IBR Forschungs GmbH). The substance was subjected to a preliminary test of hydrolytic degradation at 50 ºC, which was followed by a more detailed examination at 27 ºC and 40 ºC. In each case pH values of 4.0, 7.0 and 9.0 were employed. Concentration half life times were calculated from the hydrolysis reaction rate constants. At 27 ºC, the half life times were 54.6 hours, 60.8 hours and 65.4 hours at pH 4.0, 7.0 and 9.0, respectively, and at 40 ºC, the half life times were 35.5 hours, 35.0 hours and 34.3 hours at pH 4.0, 7.0 and 9.0, respectively.
