Additional information

No toxic effects occur in the range of water solubility.

- The test substance exhibits a very low water solubility (0.004 mg/L). Therefore, bioavailability to aquatic organisms is strongly limited.

- All available acute tests for the test substance markedly show that toxic effects only occur far beyond the limit of water solubility.

  • Danio rerio LC50(96 h) > 100 mg/L
  • Daphnia magna EC50(48 h) at a nominal concentration of 100 mg/L WAF (water accomodated fraction) > 100 mg/L
  • Scenedesmus subspicatus EC50(72 h) > 100 mg/L

- The available chronic toxicity test on Daphnia magna according to OECD guideline 211 did not reveal any toxic effects either.

  • Daphnia magna NOEC >= 10 mg/L

- Activated sludge was not inhibited by the test substance: IC50 > 100 mg/L.
