Description of key information

Dihydrogen hexafluorozirconate is an aqueous solution and its freezing point is thus somewhat below that of water (0 °C). The exact freezing-point depression depends on the concentration of the acid, but is not considered practically relevant for the chemical safety assessment. Experimental confirmation of the melting/freezing point is scientifically not justified (in accordance with REACH Annex XI, section 1) and a melting/freezing point of 0°C is selected as the key value for chemical safety assessment.
