Type of composition:
boundary composition of the substance
State / form:
liquid
Reference substance:
Dipropylene glycol n-propyl ether
PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

Dipropylene glycoln-propylether does not have PBT or vPvB Properties.

Dipropylene glycol n-propyl  ether meets the criteria for ready biodegradation passing the 10 day window in an OECD 301 A.

Dipropylene glycol n-propyl etherhas a low log Kow (log Kow< 2), which suggests that this substance is not expected to accumulate in biological tissues or bioaccumulate in foodwebs.

Measured aquatic toxicity data indicate that dipropylene glycoln-propylether presents a very low toxicity hazard to aquatic species. The EC50/LC50 (acute daphnia study) are > 100 mg/l at all three trophic levels.
