Additional information

A reliable (Klimisch 1) short-term toxicity study with fish have been conducted HQEE and is included in this dossier.

Lawrence and Hirsch (1995) conducted a reliable (Klimisch 1) GLP compliant study following OECD 203 methodsFathead minnows (Pimephales promelas) were exposed to HQEE at measured concentrations of control, 84.7, 169.2, 311.4, 566.0, and 1044.7mg/L for replicate A and 87.2, 167.3, 314.2, 574.8, and 1043.7 mg/L for replicate B under static conditions. The 96-h LC50 was >1044 mg/L, based on mortality.

Adequate reliable measured data exists for short-term toxicity to fish for HQEE and has been documented within this dossier. The most reliable study result for the test substance has been identified as a study Lawrence and Hirsch (1995) which reports an LC50 for short term toxicity in fish of >1044 mg/L. Consequently this value will be taken as the short-term toxicity in fish endpoint for HQEE.
